ACLS 1 Day Course

Designed to provide the healthcare professionals with comprehensive information to identify emergency cardiovascular care and protocols for a patient in cardiac arrest, post-resuscitative patient management, and core cases in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) according to current 2015 Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.

Audience: Physicians, registered nurses, paramedics, certified registered nurse anesthetists, respiratory therapy technicians and other allied healthcare professionals who have completed the provider course within the last two years. Intended for those who  utilize ACLS skills routinely in their duties.

Upon successful completion: Participants receive an American Heart Association ACLS Provider Card, valid for two years. This continuing education activity is approved by the American Heart Association, an organization accredited by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board of Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS). Textbook Policy: The intent is to  ensure  that Students/Providers have a book to take home for their own personal use over the 5 year guideline period.  Students/Providers renewing during the current 5 year guideline period should bring their book back for their renewal course to avoid having to purchase an additional book.   The an exception to this policy is the student/Provider who is a healthcare professional who will have access to the textbook for individual study reference before during and after the course at his/her facilities. The provider manual may be purchased during the registration process.

Upon registration and payment of course, you will receive via email a link to your study guide, a link to videos reviewing the Medications and ECGs, and a link to the online pre-course assessment exam to take PRIOR to class.  All of this helps prepare you for the class.

 Prerequisites: Completion of a previous ACLS program (Do not have to have a current ACLS card to enroll), Must be able to interpret EKG rhythms such as VTach, VFib, SVT, PEA Blocks etc. Must be familiar with first line cardiac drugs.
