The Management of VFib/Pulseless VTach; Tachycardic rhythyms such as Supraventricular (SVT), fast Afib, fast Atrial Flutter, VTach with a pulse; Bradycardic rhythms including Sinus Bradycardia and heart blocks; Asystole and Pulseless Electrical Activity (PEA). Review of Cardioversion, Defibrillation and Transcutaneous Pacing, review and practice in Airway management (intubation and oral airway), IV/IO access, Review of Medications along with dosage and administration for identified EKG rhythms. and resuscitation module (mock code). You must already be able to intepret EKG rhythms in a clinical setting to successfully pass this course.
Upon successful completion, students receive an American Heart Association ACLS Provider Card, valid for two years. This continuing education activity is approved by the American Heart Association, an organization accredited by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board of Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS).
